Unless I did something wrong, I didn't see any threads on this. Looking for info on resolving Time Stamp Conflicts in S7, such as the kind that cause FB calls in OB1 to show up in red text, and also the kind that prevent you from viewing a DB online.

Thanks

I guess I must have missed it in the documenation before, but there is some direction given there. I'm at a point now where I'm pretty sure I can resolve the conflicts:

DB: download online version of DB - unfortunately that wipes my verbage in the DB.

OB: update FB calls - again I believe that will wipe the verbage in my interface (as the affected called Functions have generic interfaces now - ex. IN0, IN1, etc.)

So probably a better question would be, if there's not a painless way to recover from these instances, to be able to at least avoid them. I'm guessing these were due to people monitoring something online (in a DB or for whatever reason going up into the Interface online) and then inadvertently something changes and they give the wrong answer to whether or not to "save the changes". My automatic response to anything like that is not only no but hell no. But in these cases with S7 that might be a flaw.

HI jw62,

Very easy it means that there is a difference between the timestamp of the actual Function Block to when u created the call for the function..

Just goto "File" tab and select "Check and update acceses"

Make sure afterwards that you save the block and download it off course.. Even a multi instace DB will re-generate itself and then you just download

Kind Regards

Okay thanks Rheinhardt, but won't you still lose - for lack of a better term - the "verbage" - for ex. Instead of "Auto On" you'll just have the default "STAT 0". That is, if you download the DB from the PLC, you lose that info, or maybe I'm wrong.

Thanks again
