When steel plates covered under SA-20 are produced from coil, does the "plate identifier" marking required in 13.1.1 refer to the coil # or something else? It is clear that subdivided plates should carry the original master plate identifier, so I would think that principle would apply to plates cut from coil.
Similarly, when plates produced to SA-414 are cut from coil, does the "slab #" of 11.1 refer to coil number? If a heat resulted in multiple coils, then tension testing reports should refer the coil number, and the resulting plates need to be traceable to parent coil and its qualifying tension test(s).
Thanks in advance!
Phil
