I need the stress for SA-212B-Fbx. This material is 36 years old on rolled plate for a pressure vessel. Temperature is 170F

SA-212 Grade B was replaced by SA-515-70. Reference to the current allowable stresses for SA-515-70 may be useful for your needs if you do not have access to the out-of-date editions of ASME Sect. VIII.

I agree with ijzer (Materials) and McHaney (Materials), I had a #50 Crude Unite Built in 1941 with the same question.

Check the Material Certification I have seen the MTR cover SA515-50 THRU SA516-70.

Can anyone clarify exactly when grade A212 Grade B was replaced by SA-515-70 (in what edition of which publication)?

We are modifying an old pressure vessel and we need to submit documents to satisfy our client that the materials are indeed equivalent.

A 212 was discontinued and replaced by A 515 / A 516 in the year 1962.
