Hi,
I have a certificate of a welded pipe where it's written that material is according to "ASME II PART.A" and "ASME SA 312 TP 304L" and also "EFW" (electric-fusion welded).

However, in ASME SA 312 par.6.1.3, when pipe is welded, the abbreviation to be used is "WLD".

Is this pipe acceptable per ASME code?
Thanks

Review B31.3 table A-1B. Though not in the scope of VIII-1 (which I assume is you design code, since you referred II-D), it gives you the manufacture methods under the various ASTM standarrd.

Agree with XL83NL, also EFW is a process term where fusion is obtained with no addition of filler metal and this would qualify under WLD. SA 312 6.1.3 is a method of manufacture. Marking requirements are under 17 and refer to WLD.
