I received Test certificate of SA 333 GR 6 PIPES.
As per chemical composition table of SA 333 GR 6, CHROMIUM,MOLY,NICKEL,VANDIUM,COPPER ARE NOT specified . I am referring 2017 edition of ASME SEC. IIA.

but the TEST CERTIFICATE is indicating the chemical composition of above-mentioned elements. Title of test certificate is SA333 Gr 6.
It is reputed mill's TC..

Refer para 5.2 of SA 333 Gr 6 of ASME SEC IIA.
I interpret the para 5.2 as the elements which are not specified in chemical composition table are not permitted.
is it correct interpretation ?

You might want to look again at Table 1 of SA-333 and make sure that you are looking down the Grade 6 column. Apart from that, your interpretation is more or less correct, dependent upon the inclusion control practice of the steel maker, e.g. the use of calcium, which would be very hard to enforce with the wording of 5.2.

SJones (Petroleum)- thanks

I wrongly mentioned that I have referred 2017 edition. Actually I was referring 2015 edition.

2017 edition of code specifies requirement of Chromium, Nickel etc.
which were not specified in 2015 edition.

You cannot intentionally add elements that make the material a different grade/alloy.
But tramp/trace content as well as minor steel making additions are perfectly legal.

For the 2015 EDITION of SA 333 Gr 6, your interpretation is correct per below;

5.2 When Grades 1, 6, or 10 are ordered under this
specification, supplying an alloy grade that specifically
requires the addition of any element other than those listed
for the ordered grade in Table 1 is not permitted. However,
the addition of elements required for the deoxidation of
the steel is permitted.

It should be standard practice to review the requirements of the 'general requirements' specification referenced in the standard, in this case SA-999. Also reference it in every purchase spec.
