Hi Guys,
I have something to get clarified with you experts.

Pressure Vessel handbook by Eugene F.Megyesy, Eleventh Edition - Example calculations for the design of saddles, Page 93, S4(Circumferential Stress) value is -18,279 Psi,

but in the Thirteenth Edition - Page 93, S4 value is 20,000 Psi.

When you work out the numbers, the value got is -18279 Psi.

Which is the right one? Will you all help me in this?

Thanks in advance,
Aravind Sujay

Quite a few "math" errors in that book over the years/editions, but the examples are there to show the process and concept, not the math. :)
