Hello all,
I have a horizontal vessel (1" thick API 5L X70 PSL2 pipe)that we will not be stamping with ASME. Seam to seam length is 160'. Question is is it practical to use three saddles on this vessel or keep it to two and beef them up. As of now I have two with a distance of 20' to the seam and 120' between the saddles. I have high bending stresses between the saddles and at the saddles. I understand Zick only analysed two saddle design. Any advise is helpful. Thanks in advance.
