SAFE2016 is taking too long to prepare the analysis model. It kept stcuked at preparing to run analysis . How to resolve this ?

When I set SAPFire options to Advanced solver with Auto, the whole model cant run at all. How to resolve this ? Tried to run the similar model on another
PC (computer B) using Adavnced solver and separate process, the model can be ran without issue. Tried to run teh similar model again on computer A with Advancved solver & separate process, the model ept stcuked at preparing to run analysis....

So, are you saying that the issue appears to be with computer A (or at least with the SAFE installation on computer A). Right? If your 2nd model runs fine on computer B, but can't run on computer A.

Things I have done in the past to resolve issues like this.
1) Take your first model and run it on computer B to see if it works. From what you've said so far, I suspect it will.
2) Check to see if you are running the same version of SAFE on both computers. Just trying to eliminate the possibility of a bug in an older version.
3) Make sure you have plenty of disk space on your computer and plenty of RAM. I say this because when Windows is handling memory allocation and doesn't have enough RAM it will generally use "virtual RAM", which means it's using hard disk space as if it is memory. This is a lot slower than regular RAM. Heck, even if you have plenty of memory the older versions of SAFE are 32 bit programs, I believe. So, they will be more prone to using "virtual RAM" than 64 bit programs.
4) Save the file as a new file name in a new folder on computer A. Just to see if there is some corruption with a secondary file in that folder.
5) Reset SAFE to the default settings if you can. You might even try uninstalling and re-installing into a new folder.

Tried vereything above, nothing worked. surprisingly , I was able to run the model using the standard solver > GUI process only. Not sure why, the process took very long time. Tried to run on different computer, remained the same. Perhaps there's something wrong with Etabs, as I imported the files from Etabs.
