Safe - Modelling Shear walls

hi

When i export the model from ETABS, the shear wall are inverted they are designated as beams elements.. and only the points for the columns are shown.

What is the right way to model in SAFE:

1.) Should i leave the ETABS import for shear walls and model columns ABOVE with end restrains at top?

2.) Should i remove ETABS import and model shear wall and columns above as in depicting the real building.

Are you talking about foundation model in SAFE exported from reactions at base from ETABS ?
If so, yes the walls are exported as inverted beams with a null mass and weight in order not to duplicate the own weight that is considered as reactions at walls joints, and this way the rigidity of walls are well considered.
Similarly columns are exported as joints with (x, y) dimensions equal to column size in ETABS. No column frame element is exported assuming that the rigidity of column area is approximately small comparing to foundation area unless if the column have a huge size (2 meters x 2 meters ...); in all cases if you want to consider the rigidity of columns, you can simply draw a "stiff area" with x, y dimensions equal to column size at column location having a depth equal to column height.
