what should be my point of reference concering safety regulations when designing electrical systems. for example if i were to design a conveyor belt driven by a dc drive(this is just an example) how do i start to find out the safety reqirements that i need to design in. for this example
does the drive require regen stop facility?
do i need light barriers or other sensors to stop the conveyor if a person toches it
do i need to use estop safety relays, require double estop loops etc.
these are not specific questions i would just like to understand how to go about finding out what the regulations require in relation to any project design that i go about in the future. there must be some books or legislation that you guys work to when designing or adding to a system?
