Hello,

I'm based in the UK and am working on a project that'll end up in Bermuda, so the equipment we're selecting must mainly come from the American market.

For an E-Stop Safety Relay, we usually use Pilz.

Does anyone know if Pilz is a common, widely used brand over in the US, or does it tend to be Rockwell Guardmaster Relays over there?

Thanks in advance,
Kevin

Rockwell safety relays are much much more readily available. Pilz has a few distributors in large markets, but outside of those 10-12 places they are scarce.

For a general purpose shutdown relay, I will generally spec the Allen Bradley 700S type of relay. It is available with up to 12 (convertible) contacts (either rated 10A or 20A).
I have never heard of the PILZ family of safety relays (in NA). The Rockwell Guardmaster Relays appear to be a direct replacement for the PILZ relays.
