Try going to one of the major Pressure-relief Valve manufacturers sites. All of them have a downloadable user program which will at least have an API-520 section. Note also there is a separate safety relief valve forum.

*** Per ISO-4126, the generic term
'Safety Valve' is used regardless of application or design ***

*** 'Pressure-relief Valve' is the equivalent ASME/API term ***

Note many of the vendor programs assume you have already calculated the required relief load for a given case, outside of something like external fire which it may be able to calculate.

They are (in general) not a replacement for doing the required relief rate calcs and evaluating the overall system. They're a tool to pick a relief valve once those steps are completed.

thank you for your kind replies. maybe I should be more specific. We would prefer to buy a software package to size safety valves for our own use. we don't want to use a specific manufacturer's one. thanks again for your replies.

We would like to size and select API526 and EN4126 valves within our company and not rely on the manufacturer only. Hope this answers your question sufficiently. We work with PetroChem and Pulp&Paper clients.
