If you check the correlation tables for Hurricane designation vs. approximate related wind speed on ASCE 7 2005 and 2010 you will find that both present basically the same set of range values per category despite of both standards be based on different level of loads, i.e. Service level and Ultimate respectively. Is it that congruent? Shouldn't they be differentiated by a sqrt(1.6) or so?
