There are 3 light diesel oil tanks in our power station. During a annual survey in July 2002 we found the tank roofs are slightly sagged, in 6 places over the conical roof. If exergerated, looks like ridges and valleys, in geographical terms. The maximum deflection found is about 2 inches. Same situation for all 3 tanks.
Besides appearance, can anyone tell me this will affect the integrity of the tanks?
The size of these tanks are 22,000M^3.

Thanks
Tim

gerrytt is correct. More information is needed. You probably can not get the amount of information needed such as drawings and a visual inspection of the support structure.

I suggest that you get a tank fabricator or consulting engineer experienced in tank fabrication, design and repair to inspect the tanks to determine if there is a problem.

At the very least you should post signage that no one is permitted on the tank roofs until the inspection and evaluation is complete.
