Same body propriety what I use in the contact simulation ?

Hi everybody

I am an engineer, I use a program Abaqus, I want to know,

if I have the same body propriety,
what I use in the contact simulation ?

1 General contact;or
2 surface to surface contact;or
3 self contact.
