I have a part that we are considering going from sand to die cast on.
It is currently Aluminium LM25 TF or in US terms 323 solution treated and artificially aged.
We are looking for similar mechanical properties, Does anyone have a die cast alloy recommendation or any experience in this kind of process change? Any alarm bells?
Thanks

If you haven't already, talk to a die caster. One thing to keep in mind re mechanical properties is that for die castings, you will never find guaranteed minimums--only typical properties, which come from separately cast tensile coupons.
