What books or resources would you recommend for the calculation of the sliding friction resistance force of sandstone blocks (between two blocks) in an earth retaining wall?

I did a granite one down in Georgia about 45 years back and recollection is fuzzy. I seem to recall that it was about 20' high and 13' wide at the base. There was a masonry 'book' back then that had construction of ashlar walls.
