Hello,
I have a five story regular R/C building.
User lateral load is defined at diapragm levels.
No mistakes on the diapragm or constraint(or restraint) definitions. It is doubly doubly checked.
When I read the output, i see that lateral force which should have been acting on the top floor could not be accounted by the program, only the first 4 floor forces are taken into account.
Now this is the suprizing part.
When i add a DUMMY joint upon the top story elevation, the model works perfectly.
This is the second time I face with this situation. I search on the internet about this if it is a known issue or bug but couldnt come up with anything.
Well the important point i should mention, The global grids are changed in z direction. Probably this is the main reason about the problem at the top story.
Anyone experinced this issue lately.
not: grid coordinates or element dimensions are checked, there is not any roundup issue such as 12.9999999999
Thanks in advance.
