i got caught out the other day, i've noticed it once or twice before, if i'm in a sub assembly, and i re-name some files, if i just go up to the main assembly and save-all, the next time i load up, it loads as the old sub assembly (load options, as saved), i've got round it before, by saving the sub assembly, then going up to the main assembly and saving that. Am i missing something, or is this just a bug. (NX 5 , and previously in NX 4)

From the user doucmentation:

Save All

Saves all modified parts and top-level assembly parts. This includes parts that are open but not displayed, but does not include partially open parts, such as components.

If this is literally what it does, it would appear that sub-assemblies are NOT included in a 'Save All'.

Sorry that was the wording as it now appears in NX 6.

In NX 5 it's worded:

Save All

Saves all top-level open parts. This means those parts that do not have parents in the session or have been modified. This includes parts that are open but not displayed, but does not include partially open parts, such as components.

I suspect that nothing has changed just that the new wording is intended to represent better what's actually happening.

Thanks John, if I would like to save all of these parts in ASS, how can I do?

I mean, If I would like to save all of these parts in ASS to another directory, I do not want to do it using Ass clone,How can I do?

Thanks,
Michael
