Save as .txt in Ansys 1

Hello,
How can I save the code(the commands) of the things that I am doing in Ansys in format .txt?

Manually or automatically?

Manualy: From the menu list the log file. Then save it as txt instead of lis.

Automatically: Use the comand /copy,jobname,log,,jobname,txt

Hi mihaiupb,
You have helped me very much. Thank you. I have to place a vibratory machine on a table and to measure its response in frequency. After, insert something like rubber between the table and the machine, and repeat the experiment, usin Ansys. If you have investigated on this, I would be grateful if you send me your information or recommend me some literature. I am sorry if my English is not very good.

I would recomend you to read Chapter 4. Harmonic Response Analysis in the Ansys Help. For linear structures without material damping it's very useful to use a modal reduced harmonic analysis.

You can simulate the rubber in Ansys. I'm not shure how. Never done it. I suppose, you must define a hyperelastic material (see Chapter 4.7. Hyperelasticity in Ansys Help). Also see the comand *MOONEY to calculate the Mooney-Rivlin hyperelastic constants from test data.

But in the end, it would be more practically to define a linear material property for the rubber. That's simpler for the calculation of the harmonic response of the hole structure.

Hi,
modal analysis is linear by definition, so non-linear properties of rubber would not be taken into account. However, due to the application, the simulation of the rubber elastic dampers can be done with COMBIN14 elements for which a stiffness AND a damping are defined. Then, the use of a non-conservative solver (DAMPED or QR-DAMPED) is mandatory.
