Hi to everyone ...
I'm Pro/E superuser and for a special application I need to save (Menu>File>Save) files without version number.
In other words, I'd like to save always overwriting the same file. (filename.prt - without .#)

Coud you helm me?

Thanks,
Massimo Piva (Italy)

I'm not aware of a way to tell ProE to overwrite. You may be able to create a custom 'Save' button that shells out and deletes the file before the real save. That way ProE will always create a .1 version. If you decide to try this, I recommend 'renaming' the file instead of 'deleting', just to make sure it's doing what you want.

This sounds like a scary thing to desire.

You might be able to write a mapkey that deletes (or as telecomguy suggested, renames) the old versions before saving the new one. Just use the OS script tab when writing a mapkey.

P.S. Nice World Cup Victory over Germany!
