Hi all,

I am trying to get a highly accurate PDF (vector) image of a 2-D isometric view with hidden lines off in Solid Edge ST2. It's a complex assembly drawing. I can get it to export, no problem, by using Solid Edge menu > Save As > Save As Translated...

However, as you can see in the attached PDF image (vessel_Fport.pdf), some fine detail is being lost. For example, zoom in on the 6" ConFlat flanges sticking out of the port towards the camera. This is what you see (in a PDF viewer):

This is what you see when zoomed in on the view in Solid Edge Draft:

so clearly it's accurately changing the Draft view into a PDF.

My question is: How can I get more detail in the view? Those bolt holes should be little ellipses. I don't care if it takes a while to render; I want publication-quality graphics.

I have already selected the view, and chosen Properties > Advanced tab, and turned all the tolerances to their most accurate, turned on Create all face intersections (slowest), Simplify B-spline edges to Never, etc.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

But you still have a line missing from the tube edge at far right.
Its possibly being generated as a hiddem line, so you might need to turn hidden lines on, change its style using part painter then turn hidden lines off again.
Alternatively cheat and draw it in view.
