saving a cad drawing to a pdf file

how do i convert a cad drawing so it can be viewed as a pdf file? i have auto cad lt 2007 and a standard version of pdf viewer.

Just print it out as as a *.pdf file. When the AutoCAD print window pops up pick the Adobe program instead of your normal printer.

You have to buy software to do that. I use Adobe full version but here are lots of choices.
 
Acrobat Pro will also allow you to save as PDF with the layers intact so they can be turned on/off.

Have you tried DWGgateway? It is a very handy tool.

thanks for all the help, i managed to do it using the plot option and printing it to file and changing the print option to dwg to pdf! thanks for all the help!!
 
You can also use a free program called pdf995.
It has worked very well for me. Just use it as the printer choice, it will let you choose the paper size ...etc.
