Hi,

I encountered the following error: Unable to save file ... as it is being used by another session, when I try to save file on server. I tried to save it on server from other computer in the network and worked using the same account. I have reinstalled Autocad but didn't escape of this error. What should I try next ?

The one with XLOADCTL ? I don't know what this means.

crpopovici,

hit the F1 key.
If so. has attached your *.dwg as a xref, and the system variable XLOADCTL =0, you can't save the file.
But I think you have a network problem. Make sure, that everything is working.

When I must hit F1 ? And where (server or workstation)?

It has been awhile, but I think we have had occasional similar errors thru the years saving to our linux file server where the acad file lock did not release properly.

If it only affects one drawing you might try to "SAVE AS" and slightly change the file name, i.e. add a -1 to the filename. If an older version of the original filename existed on the server we would delete, and then rename the
-1 file to the original name.

It works with Save as but not all the time. It's strange.
