Saving new drawing, "description" field already filled in... Bug?

When I save a drawing for the first time, the "description" field is always filled in already with the description of a completely unrelated part I did long ago (the same one each time, ergotron arm mounting plate something or other.) If I don't remember to change it, I'll have a drawing file with the wrong description instead of no description. Anyone know how to fix this? BTW, it only happens when I use the File > Make Drawing from Part command to initiate the drawing based on the part file currently opened.

I would check your part and drawing templates for legacy data in File->properties and see if 'Description' is already filled in there. Check under configuration specific properties, too.

Aha, that did it. Thanks! It seems like that should have caused the same issue when initiating a new drawing with the File > New... > selected drawing template, but oddly enough it only came up when doing the "Make Drawing from Part." I tried both just before posting.

Good time to set your projection, units, standard, etc, so you don't have to set them every time as well.

I suspect what is happening is when you create a new drawing vs make a drawing from part, is that you are selecting different templates.
I usually set up a default template, then enter all the project data and save that as a new template. As a result I have many templates that are similar but not exactly the same.

I only have one customized drawing template right now; it's set as the default, and I always pick it when making a new drawing. Apparently the last time I modified it and saved it I was working on that ergotron part...
