Saving setting when opening a drawing

When I open a drawing in AutoCAD, the dialog box shows the drawings in large icon format. I go to the VIEW MENU and scroll down to LIST. This displays the drawings with small icons to the left of the drawing name. I want to save this setting so I don't have to go to VIEW then LIST everytime I want to open a drawing. How do I save this setting?
