Hello everyone,
We are designing 10 stories building with three basement floors and we notice that the static base shear at the foundation level is less than the static base shear at ground floor level (directly above the basement floors).
My question is as follows :
In order to perform a Response Spectrum analysis
should we scale the base shear of static seismic load at the foundation level or at the ground floor level?
