Schematic / 4 or 8 Port Ethernet Switch

Can anyone lead me to an internet site that has a schematic of a 4 or 8 port Ethernet switch.

Do you really mean switch, i.e. to isolate network branches, or do you mean a hub, to route to 4 or 8 ports?

Actually I do mean switch for the reason you stated, isolation of networks.

I built one using video cross-point switches from Gencomm. Any video capable or RF UHF cross-point switch will work. That is true of 10Mbit ethernet. If you are doing 100Mbit ethernet, then you will need Microwave grade switches. At which point, it becomes cheaper to buy an off-the-shelf unit.
