I am developing a new HVAC product that will be installed above a suspended ceiling in a school building. I was wondering if there is a typical dimension for the suspended ceiling drop? I need to make sure my product will fit when installed. Are there any codes for this requirement? Thanks for your help in advance.

Not that I know of. I've seen all sorts of drop dimensions over the years, from inches to feet.
