SCO Unix SQL Database... Accessing Remotely?

I'm in a bit of a quandary here. I have no knowledge of SQL so in searching for a way to access a remote SQL database (UNIX based) from a Windows or Linux machine, I have gotten nowhere as I do not have a clue what to look for specifically. I was hoping someone can point me in the right direction? We run a system that uses SQL as the database backend, with a custom designed client for accessing the information in this database. Unfortunately, the client limits the options on what it can do, and subsequently makes me have to do alot of writing in order to get the information I need. So what I seek to do is use some type of client that will allow me to view this SQL database (not change or remove or add or anything, just view) so that I can more easily gather the information I am seeking. Any help or direction is appreciated and if specific questions are asked I am sure I can provide more information. Thanks...

Jonathan

Hi Mr.Jonathan,

I am not clear of the requirements. Most of the SQLs comes with client for all OS. You can view using any ODBC test tool. To do that create a DSN for your database and call that in the test tool. If you need further detail, please feel free to post for more questions.
