Hi all,

Following the examples from the help files I created a gravity vector (0,-9.81,0 scale 1 as per default) set it up in the BC and ran the analysis. Unexpected results were found. I realised that even so units for design and meshing can be specified (in my case mm and Newtons) unit for acceleration apparently can not ...

Can I have more informations on this acceleration thing ? examples ?...

Thank you,
Oliver

Further info:
I ran several simpler analysis to compare to hand calcs as well as an another FE software. Results from SDRC were far from the two other method ... That is why the units problem came into my mind ...

This may be a dead posting . . . If your units are Newtons and mm, then your gravity units should be 9810 (mm/sec), instead of 9.81 (m/sec).
