Hi
We are installing a sundyne LMC-337 compressor in our gas refinery. the gas is 99% methane. the suction and discharge pressures are 25 barg and 27 barg respectively. the buffer fluid is process gas that enter from port 2. the mechanical seal arrangement is tandem that will be attached. the seal face material is metal-filled carbon. as the original seals has been failed, we are going to use another part number for lower and upper seals that seal face material is carbon graphite and is different from the main seal. I don't know if it has any problem with material change. As I know metal filled carbon has much more better specifications such as higher heat conductivity, higher module and strength and reduced running clearance from an article in Turbolab.
the original seals that were on the compressor are:
upper & Lower seals: SE04AD24RZ1UC1C (RZ : metal filled carbon)
we want to replace these two seals with:
upper & Lower seals: SE04AD24RA1UC1A (RA: carbon )
