It would really be a big help if you would give your opinions on which are the best brands of valves to put on demineralizer trains. Currently, we use ITT and Saunders diaphragm valves. Just looking for more input. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
The ITT valves are a good choice. However, I started specifying PTFE lined butterfly valves for all valves larger than 2" due to the weight and cost of the diaphragm valves especially if they were fitted with spring return actuators. The 8" diaphragm valve and actuator weighed almost a ton!
We started using Durco BTVs and had great success with them. The position beacons were a hit with the opeators too as they are visible from a long ways off. They are not inexpensive valves though. See
