Are there any?

The quality control manager at my previous employer said that we were required to place on the drawing set general arrangement a reasonable facsimile of the code nameplate. I'm thinking that was required to comply with our quality manual, and not with the code per say, but in trying to confirm this I cannot see anything in the code regarding drawing requirements. I could be missing it...

somewhere you are required to show a sample anyways,
so why not on the dwgs?
Not too good if shown on the calculations,
so where do you think is a preferred location?

We always request a rubbing of the name plate. it is one fill with our code package on that vessel. The package also contains reasonable facsimile and orientation of said equipment with the location of the engineering and as built drawings. Also included are all the code data sheets.

We've taken the nameplate facsimile off of the gen arr dwg... because... our designs often get duplicated and we got tired of changing the customer tagging and the year on the drawing. Now we have Sales generate the nameplate facsimile on the contract documents - so the design on the gen arr dwg remains relatively pristine (except for Code changes every year) and the nameplate can change with every whim and waffle of the customer and his client. We've seen it where a client will purchase three of the same design and want three different taggings.... then we'd have to show a matrix on the drawing of all of the different taggings....
