Section cut for Catia V5 R9

Hello,

I've got a v4 model imported into V5 and I"m trying to take just a half section of the part to work on. Is there a way to just take a half or a quarter section of the part to work with? I need to do some analysis and a helf section of the part will do just fine. Thanks in advance.

hi,

Once you have your solid in v5, make some planes and use function split to cut your partbody.

then copy past special as result the splited partbody into another new CATPart.

Maybe you can try the function of CATIA DMU if you have it on your CATIA. There is a function called "Sectioning" in the CATIA DMU Space Analysis Workbench. It can do some work you want to do and no need to split it.Try it pls .
