I am doing a calcs for a Threaded pipe cap on the Section III cl 2 vessel. Pipe cap is machined from a bar material and have a NPTF thread.
If I am calculating head thickness per ND3325.2, is it required to do a thread shear stress calcs, or it is enough to address ND-3361.3 requirements for threaded connections?
