Can anybody help me please? This is driving me crazy. Everytime I try to generate a section view of a component Inventor locks up and stops responding (even with a very simple single part). However, I opened an IV sample drawing that contained a section view, deleted the view and re-created it - this worked fine so I can only presume it's something I am doing?
I am using IV9 SP2 with Win XP pro SP2. I'm fairly sure resources are not a problem because if I have Windows Task Manager running memory/CPU usage is relatively low when IV locks up (am using a standalone P4 3.2 with 1GB RAM).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the smae problem with Inventor 9. It is incredibly frustrating, especially since I have invested so much time in the assembly at this stage. Good luck to you...I am ready to go back to AutoCAD!

Don't know if this helps, but the only difference I could find between the IV sample drawing and my own was the styles - I had made a (poor) attempt at customising the style library, when creating an idw template. Anyway, after restoring the library to defaults, everything worked fine. Not sure if this is coincidence, but it's the only thing I changed and have not had a single problem since (fingers crossed).

I have almost the same setup as NEW2IV...I have had no trouble creating section drawings...don't know if this sheds any light on the subject???
