Hello Everyone,

I hope my message finds you well.

I am working on a presentation to show the advantage to use an all Recloser approach instead of Recloser-Sectionilizer approach for the improvement of reliability of a feeder. I believe that the approach of Recloser-Sectionilizer has been abandoned by utilities in north america due to the limitation of a sectionalizer (Fault Breaking capabilities)

I was wondering if there was a paper or a case study that addresses this subject in mode details that I can refer to shows clearly the advantages of having an all Recloser approach.

Thank you in advance
Samy

I know that with a recloser only approach, fewer customers experience interruptions for a fault at the end. If using reclose loops, none of the reclosers need to consider cycling with a sectionalizer.
