You probably need to focus on an industry: aerospace, aircraft, automotive, machine tools/equipment, piping/pressure vessels, marine/boats, etc, etc. Then find trade shows or professional organizations related to those fields, such as ASME, AIAA, SAE, etc.

And frankly FEA is just an engineering tool; it needs to be part of engineering design/analysis/development activity, hence why you should have some sort of relevant industry experience in order to appropriately apply FEA services.
