Hello good fellows!

I am doing a research over a seepage through an embankment dam.

I am new to geostudio seep/w and I need to do a comparison analysis considering no flow on the unsaturated zone vs flow on both sat/unsaturated zones.

The only way I figured to do this is to steeper VWC function but there is always flow, even if less.

Is there a way to consider abs no flow over phreatic surface in this software?

Thank you in advance,
Careka

You must create a 'Steady State Condition' to begin with. Flow may be very slow, but is still flow. This is the 'real world condition' in near surface geology and man-made earth structures.

I'd consider using visual mudflow. We think of numerical flow models in the plan dimension. However, you can also make a numerical model of a vertical slice and you can assign the properties for each block of the mesh. With proper boundary conditions, the model will solve the flow conditions.

This works. . . if you have Visual Modflow.

Yes, I am in a steady-state analysis. As in my briefing, I've already understood the minimum flow...

In this situation, how would you advise me if I was to compare the flow quantity between taking into account the only the flow under phreatic vs real flow?

Thank you for suggestion but I am realy into seep/w

Thank you both
