I'm interested in finding out if there is any good material developed for the requirements for bracing free standing computer equipment (mounted in enclosed racks)typically housed in a raised access floor computer rooms. Specifically related to the California (San Diego and San Fran.) area.

How do the racks typically get braced? Rows bolted together anchored to structural floor slab? What are requirements for raised floor structure? (Floor stands fastened with mechanical as well as mastic and room surrounded by four walls - No free standing floor structures.

Also, what is the process for having this completed? Registerd engineer with selaed drawings to AHJ. Etc?

Any information on this subject would be helpful. Thank you.
