Hello everyone...I've been searching and reading for the past 4 hours...so here is our situation and question:
We design ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 and ASME Section I pressure vessels, 95% of the time they are Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers. We use RCS for the designing software and love it. However now that California adopted the IBC 2006 our Seismic Program (not RCS) is now outdated and the software company is no longer in business.
We are looking for a program that can run seismic on a horizontal 2 saddled shell and tube heat exchanger (preferably with the option of stacked exchangers). Does anyone have any suggestions for seismic software?
I've reviewed PVElite and Compress, but I believe those you have to buy the whole 9 yards and not just the seismic section. The other option was Advance Pressure Vessel Software by CEI. We use Form Pro and Weld Pro from CEI and have not been impressed with their customer service nor updating programs...is there anyone out there that does run APV and can plug in on what they think? Or any other suggestions?
Sorry for the long post, just hoping to get some guidance.
Thanks in advance,
Joe
