I would like to move all the CSYS in an assembly to their own layer. I click on Move to Layer and the Class Selection dialog pops up, I then filter for Datums, Point and CSYS but the CSYS cant be selected.

I've checked everything I can think of but can't find any default or preference which will fix this. We're using NX9.

Anybody else come across this problem?

Did you set the selection scope to "entire Assembly"?

Yes!! It was the first thing that come to mind.

Are these CSYS's part of individual Components? If so, it might not be possible to selection them from the Assembly level.

Yes John, the assembly has multiple components each with many CSYS's.

I can select, at the assembly level, all the curves from the components and move them to a different layer but not the CSYS.

It's not the end of the world just a bit annoying!!

I've now found a workaround. Move everything to the layer for the CSYS's, then hide the datums, and then move the geometry etc back to layer 1.

Check your assembly preferences and make sure Component Member Select is active.

Yep, it's active!!

instead of a layer, you can put them in a group.

another day in paradise, or is paradise one day closer ?
