Hey Everyone:

I am looking at purchasing some pressure vessels to be used in 6,000 psi hydrogen service operating at a maximum of 120 degrees F. The three vessel materials under consideration are 1) SA-372, Grade J, Class 70, 2) SA-508-4N, class 1, and 3) SA-543, grade B, class 1.

I was hoping to get some recommendations on which of these materials would be better suited for hydrogen service. I have reviewd API 941, but it seems to be more applciable to high temperature services. Any thoughts? Any other good references about material seletion/suggestions would be awesome!! Thanks everyone!

if the vessel is not to large of diameter and gets too thick
we've gotten 4 1/2" - 6"in this material and it is great!
CE should be less than .40 for hydrodgen

I realize that you are looking at forged materials in the 20-30" range. I guess you know that is european or japanese built vessels
