Selection of Internal Floating Roof for Crude Oil Service

Good Morning all,

please put forward me some ideas regarding the selection of Internal Floating Roof (IFR)for below points:

For Crude oil service, which type of IFR is more suitable?

2.

Aluminium or Carbon Steel, which material is more suitable for IFR for crude service?

Good morning Mohammed,

1. I built single deck for Crude Oil. I built also double deck for crude oil. All roof on these tanks are EFRT. Last one I built Dome Roof with internal framing for Crude Oil Tanks.

2. I built dome roof with Alumunium IFRT. The vacono deck was design by Rheifelden (Germany). I did also CS IFRT on DRT.

It is depend on client requirement and tank designer judgment.
