Selenium Removal

RO technology is probably the only practical method, although there are other methods.

Adsorbent media such as activated alumina could be an option. Straight AA will be most effective at removing the selenite species and less effective for selenate and others.

If you choose RO or other method that concentrates the selenium, you will want to check the selenium concentration to see if it is low enough to discharge or if it requires additional treatment.
