Semiconductor fuses are very fast acting fuses used to protect power semiconductors from over current. You will commonly see them in large DC motor drives.

From an in-the-field point of view, sometimes it is a race to see which opens up first--the fuse or the junction it's trying to protect.

its use to replace HV contactor. For high voltage and low
current it is less expensive to use semiconductor like IGBT’s

lyledunn,

why do you post the same question more than one time in the same forum ?
