Hi,
Not sure whether I'm in the thread but heres goes anyway - Has anyone experience of implementing a controlling & tracking system for tracking individual pipes through a pipe coating plant. If so what type of primary device was used and attached to the pipe, at what point in the process was the device attached and what secondary sensor was used to sense the pipe. The comms and Scada part is fairly self explanatory but I'm having difficulty in finding something suitable to withstand the chemical cleaning, tempering and abrasion processes. The process is very similar to that shown on the attached link.
