Has anyone an idea where I could find an air pressure sensor that could be connected to my home alarm (if the pressure changes it means that a door or a window is opened)?Instructions to build one?
Sounds like a great idea, but I'm not sure how well it can be implemented. This sensor will have to be fairly accurate and have a fast response time, but that means that you will probably get many false alarms. Is this room that you are trying to monitor special in any way (1 door, no windows, soundproof, etc.)? Because if it isn't, then normal pressure changes associated with the weather and/or your furnace / A/C, turning on can trip your sensor. And lets just hope you don't have any pets that can walk by the sensor. Otherwise, I will take a look to find some pressure sensors. I hope this works out b/c it sounds pretty cool!
