Does any one have a reference for the control of cooling water temperature (wet bulb/dry bulb temperature sensor).

If we use only the dry bulb temperature, we could loss some degrees but, is it really worth? During the summer, when we could need it, we have high humidity so it may be not relevant.

Kind regards

I don't know what you mean by wet bulb temperature controller. If you have a temperature controller for cooling water at a minimum temperature required for your process or chillers, that would suffice your requirement.

Just on/off the fan based on chilled water temperature. You need not bother about air side temperature.

Regards,

Believe it or not : A Neutrino is so mass less(and electrically neutral) that, a conservative estimate states, it can pass through a 50 light year thick lead block.

Are you refering to a dew point sensor?

You can use this type of sensor to control the operation of a chilled water control valve.

Enthalpy sensors. High maintenance and pricey.
If the towers are controlled by vfd's or two speed controllers, provide a setpoint controller for the desired ecwt. Otherwise a management system is required with some nifty algorithms. I built one that provides fuzzy control of the setpoint that will change throughout the day. We needed noise control at night, so we insured the towers were calculated oversized and ran about 4 gpm/ton of water through the chiller so that it would meet the minimum flow per cooling tower cell (water ran over 4 cells, design is 2 cell per chiller).
